The Red Eagles claimed a 4-2 victory over Al Masry in the Egyptian Premier League at Borg El Arab Stadium.
The game started with high intensity, as Salah Mohsen gave Al Masry an early lead in the 6th minute. The Reds then responded with consistent pressure, and Emam Ashour leveled the score in the 35th minute after a smart setup from Wessam Abou Ali.
Wessam added the second a few minutes later with a header, but the VAR ruled it out for offside. However, that didn’t stop the Eagles from adding a second just before halftime, as Taher Mohamed Taher fired the ball home to put the Reds ahead 2-1.
In the second half, Wessam delivered a stunning free-kick goal in the 58th minute, extending our lead and marking his third goal in three consecutive games. In the 76th minute, a penalty was awarded to the Reds, which Emam calmly converted from the spot to add the fourth. Although Fakhreddine Ben Youssef pulled one back for Al Masry with a late header, the Eagles held firm and brought the win home.
For his goal, assist, and overall performance, Wessam Abou Ali was named Man of the Match.
